Rip it up

Another thank you card for our family members in the UK. Another work in progress this one. I have used my Stampin' Pastels to colour the flower and love the result. The colour is so soft and subtle.

I have torn my Soft Suede cardstock and filled the gap behind with some So Safron Ribbon for something different. I am still not sure if I like the overal look but I had fun using some different techniques.

So Saffron brightens things up

It took me a long time to finish this card. I just wasn't happy with it.  That is, until I added the So Saffron cardstock. It really lifts it and this is probably one of the brightest cards I have done ... and I love it!

This will be going to a family member who will be accommodating our family whilst we travel through the UK. I wanted to be able to give them something to say thanks and I will include a family picture and some Aussie memorabilia to remember us by.

Doesn't like green

I designed this card for a workshop last week using my new fav' Vintage Vogue set after purchasing the matching Jumbo Wheel. It took a couple of attempts to get the background image right (first time I printed it upside down .. doh!) and I wanted to make sure the butterfly image was in the right place. I love the way everything coordinates without being too full on.

I chose the Old Olive card stock specifically because I think it goes so well with the Rich Razzleberry, but got a chuckle when the hostess laughingly told me that green was her least favourite colour! However her favourite colour was purple (Rich Razzleberry is kinda purple?) and pointed out that it was OK because the person she was going to give it to loves green. Phew!
